George Strait continues his ride into country music legend with his 60th number 1 hit, USA Today reports. His latest single, 'Give It All We Got Tonight' rose to number 1 on USA Today's country music airplay charts giving Strait an unbelievable 60th number 1.

The song, written by Tim James, Phil O'Donnell and Mark Bright, is Strait's 115th single. MCA Nashville, Strait's record label, started a unique advertising campaign called '60 for 60' which aimed to get the song to the top of the charts by his 60th birthday. His birthday was this past Saturday so the campaign had achieved its goal and gave George one hell of a gift.

Artists like Kenny Chesney sent Strait their regards for his birthday. Chesney even got a concert crowd in Milwaukee to sing Happy Birthday to him.

Strait first rose to prominence in the early 80s with his album 'Unwound.' Even at this age he shows no signs of slowing down.
