Direct from Nashville, acclaimed recording artist Mandy Barnett will celebrate the holidays with her classic country charm at Freedom Hall in Park Forest tonight, December 12 at 7:30 p.m.

Barnett will perform popular ballads like White Christmas, I'll Be Home for Christmas, and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, along with spirited standards like Jingle Bell Rock, A Holly Jolly Christmas, Marshmallow World, and Winter Wonderland. Her robust delivery is a reminiscent of the all-time great female singers and timeless sounds. It is musical holiday magic at its best.

Barnett takes her cue from the enduring Christmases of the golden era -the smooth and sophisticated sounds of Perry Como, Brenda Lee, Burl Ives, and Connie Francis updated with Barnett's soaring, sparkling vocals. Barnett's commanding voice and stage presence are sure to put you in the holiday spirit!

A Grand Ole Opry favorite, Barnett tours both nationally and internationally. She is well known for her portrayal of country music legend Patsy Cline in the long-running stage show Always...Patsy Cline at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium. The show sold out nightly and received rave reviews across the country. The Los Angeles Times has heralded her "pipes of steel," "big, brassy voice and vintage-sounding arrangements." And USA Today calls Barnett one of the "finest classic country and torch singers" to come out of Nashville.

The concert is sponsored by Friends of Freedom Hall and Bimba Manufacturing.

Tickets are $24 ($20 for season subscribers). Call 708-747-0580 or visit www.freedomhall.org. The performance takes place at Freedom Hall located at 410 Lakewood Boulevard, Park Forest, IL 60466.
