FILTER magazine, the Los Angeles-based music publication celebrated for helping people discover their new favorite bands and for its enticing and intelligent editorial content, is proud to introduce FILTER 52 to the world, featuring an exclusive cover story on The National as they embark on the release of their sixth studio album, Trouble Will Find Me. With the launch of FILTER's newest issue, the good music publication, in partnership with New York City startup MAZ, unveils its new iPad app, now available for download in the iOS App Store, making FILTER the first consumer music publication available on the MAZ digital publishing platform. The print version of FILTER magazine's The National: Emotional Transit issue hits newsstands on May 24.

FILTER's newest issue is jam-packed with quality music and lifestyle content, including an exclusive cover feature with The National, in-depth interviews with Queens of the Stone Age, Bryan Ferry of Roxy Music, Seth Rogen, Hanni El Khatib and more. The National: Emotional Transit also features exclusive photos of the band in their beloved home of Brooklyn, shot by New York music photographer Marc Lemoine.

Making FILTER magazine and Good Music Even More Accessible
With the new FILTER magazine app available on the MAZ platform solution, FILTER readers are able to utilize a sharing functionality called "Clippings" giving them the tools to directly clip any piece of content in the app (think of it as a set of "digital scissors"). Using the touch of two fingers, readers can easily share content via email, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Tumblr without ever leaving the pages of FILTER magazine. The National have an extremely busy spring. Not only did this self-described "band of brothers" premiere Mistaken for Strangers at the Tribeca Film Festival, a documentary style, love letter of a film made by Matt Berninger's brother Tom, but they will release Trouble Will Find Me on May 20. The sixth studio album has consumed the Cincinnati-bred band for nearly two years. In the newest issue, FILTER magazine speaks with The National, revealing how the film became an intimate exercise in family and how it uncovers more about the band than any kind of tour documentary ever would.
