Falu's Bazaar Celebrates Album Release with Concert at Joe's Pub

Falu's Bazaar is a new vibrant and diverse album of Indian children's music from New York based Falu, an international artist known for her unique blending of modern and classical stylings in her Bollywood Orchestra shows. This playful yet educational collection is the first of its kind, teaching South Asian culture through a spirited presentation to today's youth in three languages- English, Hindi and Gujarati (out this Friday, 2/16!)

Falu's Bazaar is celebrating this Sunday, February 18 with a release concert and combined Holi celebration at Joe's Pub. Come out with the whole family to join Falu and her incredible band on a musical journey through South Asian culture and around the globe, celebrating the instruments, languages, sights, and humanity of a diverse world.

Falu welcomes all to come celebrate the Holi holiday with her and her family. "For us besides being Hindus, The Holi festival has a cultural significance in our family. It is the festive day to end and rid oneself of past errors, to end conflicts by meeting others, a day to forget and forgive. Holi also marks the start of spring, for many the start of the new year, an occasion for people to enjoy the changing seasons and make new friends and extend hearts and love to the world." - Falu

Falu's Bazaar was commissioned by and launched at Carnegie Hall which led to an artist residency for Falu at Lincoln Center last year. Falu is internationally recognized for her rare ability to seamlessly blend a signature modern inventive style with a formidable Indian classically-shaped vocal talent. Originally from Bombay, Falu moved to the States in 2000 and her work here has led to a series of brilliant and high profile collaborations with Yo-Yo Ma, Wyclef Jean, Philip Glass, Ricky Martin, Blues Traveler and A. R. Rahman amongst others.
