'Weight' is the latest release to come from Melbourne based alt-rock band, Empire Park. Originally from Hobart, the band have come together in a new city, with a new line up and created an epic, stadium worthy single which has already received praise from members of Gang Of Youths and I Know Leopard. "The song is about the realisation that something you cared deeply about has to end, and you can't pretend otherwise any longer. It's about change and loss, for better or worse, in my relationships and our lives in general since we've moved away from home." - Harrison Manton

Empire Park worked on 'Weight' with Aaron Dobos at Sing Sing Studios, who has engineered and produced on records with The Avalanches, Ceres and British India. The single also features a guest performance by Liam from the electrifying 9-piece, Saskwatch.

The band have previously performed at Falls Festival five times, supported British India, Little May, The Vanns and Bad Pony.

"First and foremost, we are still just music fanatics, and performers second. We know how it feels to adore a particular song or artist, whereby just hearing their music makes you feel more alive. We want to give people that same experience that we get from the music that we're in love with; that's what we're chasing, and that's why we do it."
