Produced by Frank Legeay (Jon Langston, Adam Doleac), the six-song project pairs contemporary country with emotionally driven storytelling, exploring love, resilience, self-discovery, motherhood, and the confidence that comes from embracing every chapter of life. The songs come from a roster of acclaimed Nashville songwriters including Maggie Rose, Josh Kerr (Kelsea Ballerini, Dylan Scott), Emily Shackelton (Reba McEntire, Carly Pearce, Lauren Alaina), Phil Barton (Lee Brice's 'A Woman Like You'), and Matt McKinney (Tim McGRaw, ERNEST, Jordan Davis).
'This EP is coming out during one of the most exciting chapters of my career, but also one of the fullest chapters of my life. I'm a wife and a mom, I'm raising a family, I'm building this career independently between New York and Nashville, and the momentum around the music has never felt stronger. For a long time, I thought I had to separate certain parts of myself from the artist — the New Yorker, the showbiz background, the mom — but I've realized those are actually the things that make my story mine. My career has unfolded in a way I never could have planned, and at this point in my life and career, a self-titled project just felt like the perfect fit. It represents all of those pieces coming together and finally feeling completely at home in who I am, both as an artist and a person. I think there's something really powerful about showing that you can keep growing, dreaming bigger, and creating new opportunities for yourself in every season of life.' -- Carolyn Miller
Across the EP, Carolyn moves between celebration and stillness. 'American Heartbeat' carries the most personal weight for her. A Long Island native who felt the impact of September 11 firsthand, she connected immediately to the song's portrait of resilience and quiet patriotism, and it arrives as the country marks the 25th anniversary. 'I'll Always Be' has taken on a life of its own with listeners, who have shared it as a father-daughter dance song at their own weddings. Focus track 'Save It' shifts the energy, offering a playful, flirty take on choosing connection over conflict — putting the heat of an argument on ice and saving that energy for something a whole lot better.
A Long Island native and graduate of The Boston Conservatory, Miller came to country music through theater, voiceovers, film, and television, with acting credits including NBC's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and PBS's Zula Patrol. Now splitting her time between New York and Nashville, she has built her audience entirely independently—amassing nearly 200,000 followers across social platforms and millions of video views, including her viral 'Choosin'' state series (a spin on Ella Langley's record-breaking 'Choosin' Texas')—while raising a family and inviting fans into the personal side of that balance.
That recent momentum builds on a career that has already included appearances at CMA Fest, Summerfest, Carolina Country Music Fest, and Barefoot Country Music Fest, performances alongside Lee Brice, Ashley McBryde, Walker Hayes, Chase Rice, Eli Young Band, and Nate Smith, and recognition as an NSAI 'One to Watch' and CMT 'Next Up Now' artist. Recent support for the EP includes a live TV interview on WKRN News 2 in Nashville, airplay for 'American Heartbeat' on 103.1 The Wolf and Beaver 100.3, as well as features in Yahoo! News, Country Central, Country Swag, The Nashville Sign, and BroadwayWorld.
Miller is set to perform the National Anthem and her song 'American Heartbeat' at Jones Beach Theater on September 11 (25th Anniversary) ahead of Jason Aldean's show, followed by an acoustic performance at Chelsea Table + Stage in New York City on September 23 and Oyster Fest on Long Island on October 18.
