Calvin Harris to Ignite the Stage at 2014 MTV EMA's

MTV today announced that it has added some of the biggest names in music to the 2014 MTV EMA performer lineup. Multi Award Winning artist Calvin Harris is set to take the MTV EMA stage for the first time from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow. The MTV EMA, one of the biggest global music events of the year that celebrates the hottest artists from around the world, will kick off Sunday, November 9 in Miami at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT. Nick Cannon and Molly Tarlov were previously announced as hosts.

Additionally, some of the best new acts of the year including breakthrough Brit Charli XCX, electro-pop songstress Kiesza and UK rock duo Royal Blood will also rock the MTV EMA stage. The news was posted across the artists' social media accounts this morning. Charli XCX is up for "Best Push" and "Best New" while Kieza is nominated for "Best New," "Best Video," "Best Push" and "Best Canadian Act."

As previously announced, the 2014 MTV EMA will kick off in the U.S. LIVE from Miami, FL with hosts Nick Cannon and Molly Tarlov and performer Nick Jonas. The show will broadcast on MTV channels around the world on Sunday, November 9th beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow. The MTV EMA - one of the biggest global music events of the year - recognizes artists from around the world and across genres, and brings together music fans everywhere for a one-of-a-kind experience in the weeks leading up to and at the show. Bruce Gillmer and Richard Godfrey are the Executive Producers for the 2014 MTV EMA. The 2014 MTV EMA marks the first time that the show will be held in Glasgow, Scotland and has received support from Glasgow City Marketing Bureau and EventScotland.
