Big Band Jazz Concert With Full Count Big Band And Carrie Jackson Announced, 10/22 ImageThe sounds of the big band era will resonate during the Jazz Season Opener at the Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum on Monday, October 22 at 7:30PM.

The Full Count Big Band is bringing a "Big Band Jazz Concert" to the Bickford Theatre featuring Jazz vocal stylist and recording artist, Ms. Carrie Jackson. The performance will feature music from some of the most famous Jazz and Big Band musicians, band leaders and arrangers including Count Basie, Buddy Rich, Ray Anthony, Louis Armstrong, Stan Kenton, Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman to name a few.

The Full Count Big Band has been performing in the New York Metropolitan area since the year 2000 and consists of some the most prominent Jazz Artists, many of whom have travelled the world with prominent Big Bands. The Full Count Big Band is a seventeen piece orchestra that has been performing together for over a decade. This live music band performs regularly at a wide variety of events, fundraisers and at jazz clubs. Their music is eclectic, not just nostalgic.

Ms. Carrie Jackson is a New York/New Jersey based jazz vocal stylist and is considered one of the most consistently interesting singers in the metropolitan area, and is one of the top jazz artist's around today providing for classical performances in jazz favorites, soulful sultry pop, blues and poignant mellow gospel. She combines jazz originals, standards, pop/blues tunes, and open improvisation in an adventurous, genre-bending style that's inspirational and original; a singer with a Sound! Carrie performs the music of the jazz greats as well as musical selections songs from the Great American Song Book. She is the President and CEO of C-Jay Recording & Productions, Inc.
