Bar/None Give Ben Vaughn's 1995 INSTRUMENTAL STYLINGS 1st Vinyl Release

Bar/None Records will be giving Ben Vaughn's 1995 album Instrumental Stylings it's first release on vinyl January 26. The re-release uncludes a download card with the complete album and four bonus tracks including one featuring a guest vocal from Dean Ween.

Ben Vaughn spent the 1980's touring the country and making records with the Ben Vaughn Combo and as a solo artist, before recording Instrumental Stylings and using the album as his calling card to get film work in Los Angeles. It didn't take long before he was the music supervisor for the hit TV show "Third Rock From The Sun" (for which he penned the award winning theme song). He went on to work on the even more successful "That 70s Show". Many of the songs on Instrumental Stylings were featured in both shows. A couple were written for the documentaries Favorite Mopar and Wild Girl's Go Go.

Vaughn would also produce records for Ween, Los Straightjackets, Nancy Sinatra and Mark Olson ( Jayhawks) as well as Memphis rockabilly legend Charlie Feathers and soul singer Arthur Alexander. He also recorded the Cubist Blues album in collaboration with Alan Vega and Alex Chilton.
