Australian Quintet BAD PONY Release New Single KNIFE

Australian quintet Bad Pony has played a whopping 50-something shows just in the past year alone, and it's about to bring its fury to North America at SXSW. But first, new music! Following last year's "Deficiency," which has exploded following its Rolling Stone Australia premiere, "Knife" today premieres on The AU Review - stream here - as a taste of what these five rockers have been working on for what feels like forever: Deficiency, the band's newest EP following its breakthrough debut EP, Limbo.

SXSW showcase attendees will have the privilege of being the first to hear Bad Pony play songs from the new EP in North America. Bad Pony will unveil its SXSW showcase schedule soon, and the band is available for further promo and showcase opportunities throughout the week; please get in touch if you would like to set something up.

There might be something about growing up in a nation essentially founded on a prison labor colony that instills a sense of tirelessness in a band. Whether it's heritage, hope, or insanity that fuels Bad Pony, the Australian quintet simply doesn't seem to stop. Since releasing its debut EP Limbo in 2015, the Sydney-based quintet has independently released four self-produced singles, all with national radio success. On the touring front, this leading indie outfit has clocked up thousands of miles of national touring since 2016, with plenty of key showcase appearances along the way. Bad Pony capped its highly successful 2017 with an announcement that it will be part of the Australian lineup at the one and only SXSW 2018; it also took the win for the Australian Music Week Award. Sophomore EP Deficiency is in the cooker; its title track exploded with a premiere on Rolling Stone Australia, airplay on Triple J, and a successful Australian run of shows that saw Bad Pony play to packed-out rooms across Australia. Believe the hype: these guys aren't to be missed.
