The StreetShares Foundation and Sam Adams Brewing the American Dream have partnered to provide military and veteran-community entrepreneurs across the country access to capital and mentoring through Street Shares' Veteran Small Business Awards.

This award will provide $100,000 in veteran business grants and enable free educational resources and support by connecting "vetrepreneurs" with experienced experts in business disciplines like social media, sales and distribution, marketing, package design and more through one-to-one mentoring and at Speed Coaching events across the country.

"Research shows military veterans give back to their communities in powerful ways. But studies also show this special breed of entrepreneurs need coaching and better mentor networks," said StreetShares Foundation Board Member, Mark L. Rockefeller. "Our partnership with Sam Adams Brewing the American Dream addresses these needs head-on. Together, we'll provide community-impact veteran business owners with free coaching, mentoring, and grants to put their dreams in motion."

To apply, qualified applicants submit a video pitch and a short application to the StreetShares Foundation website. Finalists are chosen based on five criteria: business idea, use of funds and impact, product or service, team and company history, and the social impact the business has on the military and veteran community. Previous winners have impacted the military community in health care, children and families, and education. For rules, terms and conditions please visit the StreetShares Foundation website at streetshares.com/foundation.
