Staytion Bar Sets February Social Hours

Staytion Market & Bar at the revamped Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel, 1 W. Wacker Drive, announces an array of unique social happenings throughout February. Offering a twist on typical happy hours, Staytion Bar's popular monthly events instill a sense of exhilaration and spark a love with the city's bustling nightlife and endless entertainment. Entry is complimentary, with food and beverage available for purchase.

Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel isn't letting the Groundhog's shadow fall over the city. On Tuesday, February 2 at 5 p.m., guests can forget about the brisk cold sweeping Chicago by sipping on tropical Neo-Tiki cocktails at Winter Escape. Specialty drinks include the Mid-Summer's Dream ($10), served in a mini-watermelon, Papaya Haze ($7), and complimentary Kiwi Cooler Punch, a fresh mix of Kiwi-Watermelon puree, citrus sake, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and Prosecco.

On Tuesday, February 9, Renaissance Downtown Chicago Hotel will transport guests back in time to their namesake era, the Renaissance, for the all-day Mardi Gras Masquerade event. Guests can celebrate in true Mardi Gras fashion and indulge in signature New Orleans treats including Beignets ($2) and King's Cakes ($3), paired perfectly with specialty cocktails Sazeracs ($7) and Hurricanes ($7). Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite masque or borrow one from the hotel for a special Mardi Gras Masquerade photo opportunity.

Guests can channel their inner artist at Paint Nite on Wednesday, February 17 from 4-8 p.m. A creative spin on Wine Wednesday, Paint Nite offers guests the opportunity to create their very own Chicago skyline painting while enjoying $6 select wines. Those who Instagram their painting using hashtag #RenChiRefresh will be entered for a chance to win a pair of Monster Headphones.

Chicago has a brand new rooftop Coming Soon! On Thursday, February 25 from 4-6 p.m., Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel will give guests a sneak peek of what's to come when the 3rd floor indoor-outdoor space opens in spring. In addition to the exciting one-night events, Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel entertains guests all month long with Staytion's Daily Bar Ritual, held every Monday through Thursday at 6 p.m., when an initiation bell rings to signify that the work day is over and Happy Hour has begun. An interactive event for guests to watch, the mixologist creates a special punch made with all local and seasonal products. Once ready, it is served complimentary for guests to enjoy until the punch runs out.
