Some hotspots in NYC can boast great views, while others have killer cocktails and delicious food. 230 Fifth has it all. The expansive rooftop venue along with the fully enclosed Penthouse lounge and bar has top-notch drinks and an array of delicious fare. All the elements of this Manhattan destination have been thoughtfully planned to delight guests. It is an easy choice for our "Bar of the Week."

230 Fifth currently has their Igloo Bar in place through April with transparent, heated igloos that are beautifully lit on their rooftop space. It's a great place to relax with friends and enjoy a drink when the weather is cold. In the spring, they will roll out a stunning rooftop landscape to enjoy for the warmer months.

We visited on a Sunday evening. The venue was bustling with people enjoying a night on the town. Even though it was busy, the service was beyond excellent. settled into a comfortable booth in the lounge with a great view of the Empire State Building. Choosing a cocktail wasn't an easy job as there were so many tempting ones. enjoyed their White Peach Martini with rum, fresh peach puree, peach schnapps and fresh lime. The Raspberry Mojito was a refreshing blend of raspberry vodka and white rum muddled with mint and raspberries. In addition to excellent cocktails, the beverage program offers a great selection of spirits, wines, and beers. like that there is bottle service for your table, including Champagne Magnums for larger groups.

We paired our drinks with a few of their savory small plates that included tender Short Rib Sliders garnished with blue cheese and caramelized onions served with chips. The Creamy Spinach Dip, ideal for table sharing, is served with crisp tortilla chips. Guests can also enjoy full dinner entrees like their Miso Glazed Salmon, Chicken Caesar Salad, Asian Vegetarian Noodles, or Fish & Chips. 230 Fifth also serves a weekend brunch buffet and Happy Hour specials Monday to Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Sal Rozenberg, Director of Operations for 230 Fifth told us why he thinks they have been so popular. He commented, "It's a combination of many factors. It's not just a bar and lounge, it's an experience. You meet locals and people from around the world. The size, the culture, the views, comfort and quality of drinks mixed with decor all adds up to a unique experience that our guests promote us." He told us about the future of the venue. "We expect to keep growing as a big family and keep improving guest experiences with unique ideas."

230 Fifth offers private event space that can accommodate groups from 30 to 1,200 and offer all year long. The full service event company has privatized or semi-privatized space, food, beverages, furniture, staffing, and full A/V services.
