Canadian tariffs on some United States goods start July 1, but lucky for Americans there are no tariffs on tarts, in particular butter tarts. Butter tarts are the iconic Canadian dessert like apple pie in America - that are sweeping across the US as the latest new dessert trend.

To celebrate Canada Day (that's right: we have our own national day right before Independence Day) and our long-lasting friendship with our American neighbors, Btarts, an American company founded by Canadians, is encouraging everyone across the USA to forget about tariffs and enjoy some butter tarts.

"We are on a mission to build US and Canadian relations one butter tart at a time," says Asher Weiss, Btarts founder. "We want Americans to experience what Canadians have enjoyed for years - the incredible joy that comes from just one bite."

Btarts continue a tradition of bringing the best of Canada to our American friends: think the two Ryans, Drake, basketball, peanut butter (it's true, look it up!).

So why not celebrate Canada's birthday by joining the #buttertartdiplomacy movement and visiting eatbtarts.com to find out how you can get your hands on some of these irresistible sweet treats!
