Savion Glover's BARE SOUNDZ Dances at Kaaitheater

Forget everything you thought you knew about tap-dance, and come to see Savion Glover's Bare Soundz, exclusive to Kaaitheater's fin de saison.

Glover has renewed the tap-dance genre by injecting it with elements from hiphop and bebop. He draws not only on jazz, but just as much on reggae. Bach and Shostakovitch get his feet moving too. He builds up his pieces of musical choreography in successive trios, in which his partners Marchall L. Davis and Maurice chestnut respond to him in unison or counterpoint.
