Periapsis Music and Dance Presents IPSEITIES
”Ipseity” refers to the individual sense of self, a continuity of existence.

Periapsis Music and Dance will present Ipseities, a project created by artistic director Jonathan Howard Katz during quarantine.
Last March, Jonathan put out a call to choreographers, offering to write short piano pieces. It was a way to connect and collaborate during an isolated and uncertain time, and the idea was to meet each artist where they were at the moment, artistically and emotionally.
The full project, which is independent of Periapsis, will consist of twenty-four pieces. Several of them have already been premiered, mostly as dance films. This event presents six of them that are intended for live performance.DETAILS:
