ABSINTHE Star Melody Sweets Debuts New Album with Launch Party in Vegas, 1/19

Singer and burlesque performer, Melody Sweets, from the Strip's hottest show ABSINTHE at Caesars Palace, releases her debut album titled Burlesque in the Black with an exclusive CD launch party and live show featuring the ABSINTHE cast like you've never seen them before at the ABSINTHE Spiegeltent on Saturday, January 19 at 11:30 p.m. Melody Sweets will also give fans an exclusive sneak peek of her new music video for "Love Bite" starring cast members from ABSINTHE.

Tickets to the release party are available in advance for $12 or $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at www.MelodySweets.com. Sponsored by the Burlesque Hall of Fame Museum, Skin City Body Painting and Rain Cosmetics, all ticket proceeds will benefit the non-profit Burlesque Hall of Fame Museum celebrating and preserving the art and history of burlesque.

Burlesque in the Black features popular hits performed by Melody Sweets and heard nightly in ABSINTHE including "Slice of Heaven," "Voodoo" featuring the Candy Shop Boys, and "Taboo." Burlesque in the Black is a collection of songs composed exclusively for Melody Sweets' burlesque journey across the globe, accompanying her onstage every night with her ever-chameleonic performances, each one more outrageous than the last. Melody Sweets has had music featured on MTV, VH1, A&E and National Geographic on hit shows such as Celebrity Fit Club and PUNK'D. She is also the first performer in the history of burlesque to have produced, written and starred in her own music video for "Slice of Heaven." A lover of the arts, Melody Sweets has had the privilege of performing for and collaborating with such acclaimed artists including STING, Björk, Moby, Alice Cooper, The Bravery, Marc Jacobs, Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas, Adriana Lima and Harvey Keitel.
