Comedy Central has extended the first season of the new late night series THE JIM JEFFERIES SHOW and ordered 10 additional episodes it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Comedy Central. The series, which features the Australian comedian's unapologetic, honest and international approach to culture and politics, is currently in the midst of its initial run, which will see original episodes through August 15. After a brief hiatus, new episodes from this extension will begin on Tuesday, September 19 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, following the fall season premiere of Tosh.0.

"Jim Jefferies continues to surprise me," said Alterman. "I always knew he was wickedly funny. I had no idea he was so sexy in real life."

"I'm very grateful to Comedy Central for making our relationship more official," said Jefferies. "Like all my relationships, I look forward to a few more months with Comedy Central before it starts crying outside of a bar at 2am. Or spray paints 'liar' on the side of my car."

Each week, Jefferies tackles the week's top stories from behind his desk and travels the globe to far-off locations to provide an eye-opening look at hypocrisy around the world. Featuring interviews, international field pieces, and man on the ground investigations, Jefferies covers the most controversial issues, all through the lens of his distinctive brand of comedy.

The Jim Jefferies Show ranks as the #1 new comedy in 2017 among Men 18-34 among all ad-supported cable in prime and has had a great start on the digital front as one of Comedy Central's most-viewed new series on its owned and operated platforms across the past two years.

Executive produced by Jefferies, Scott Zabielski, and Brillstein Entertainment Partners' Alex Murray and Tim Sarkes. Jason Reich is co-executive producer and head writer. Adam Londy is the Executive in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.

A comedian, actor and writer, Jim Jefferies has established himself as one of the most respected comics of his generation with a controversial and belief-challenging stand-up style that continues to surprise and entertain audiences around the globe. He recently wrapped an international stand-up tour, "The Unusual Punishment Tour," to rave reviews which came on the heels of releasing his second NETFLIX SPECIAL Freedumb last summer.

Jefferies has also found critical success as an actor where he played the role of "Charlie" in the feature film And Punching the Clown, that premiered at the 2016 SXSW Film Festival and he created, wrote, produced and starred in the critically-acclaimed series Legit, which ran for two seasons on FX.
