Utah Symphony Adds Dates to 2014 DEER VALLEY MUSIC FESTIVAL, 7/25-26

Utah Symphony | Utah Opera today announced two additional performances have been added to the 2014 Deer Valley® Music Festival lineup in Park City.

The evening of July 25 will present The Orchestra performing hits from 70's hybrid rock and orchestral group, the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) starring former ELO members.

ELO's roster changed numerous times over the years, with no fewer than 18 members contributing to the band's sound. ELO's spectacular run of success in the '70s and '80s included numerous gold and platinum albums, Top Ten hits such as "Can't Get It Out of My Head" and "Telephone Line", and the groundbreaking "Spaceship" tour.

The following evening, Deer Valley® Music Festival will feature an extraordinary rock 'n' roll celebration of the life and music of John Lennon starring look-and-sing-alike artist Tim Piper. "Just Imagine" intertwines John Lennon's songs with the stories behind them to create a unique and electrifying multimedia concert experience.

Backed by rock band Working Class Hero (Greg Piper on bass; Don Butler on guitar, Morley Bartnof on keyboards and Don Poncher on drums) Piper, who bears an uncanny resemblance to the late rock 'n' roll icon, channels Lennon in this critically acclaimed tribute.

The Utah Symphony will not be performing at these concerts.

A pre-sale for subscribers, donors, and groups for the July 25 and July 26 concerts will begin Monday, May 19, at 10 AM by contacting the ticket office at (801) 533-NOTE (6683). Single tickets will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, May 22 at 10 AM. Single tickets can be purchased online at deervalleymusicfestival.org and through ArtTix outlets by calling (801) 355-ARTS (2787). Ticket prices will increase $5 when purchased the day of the performance.
