$22Multiple Washington Area Music Award (Wammie) and Grammy Award-winning artist/producer John Jennings returns to The Barns for an evening of his signature folk-pop. Aside from his successful career as a solo artist, Jennings is best known for his musical partnership and kinship with folk sensation Mary Chapin Carpenter. Collectively the two have produced 11 Top 10 Singles and two Grammy award-winning albums rich with energetic country pop-tunes.Jennings has produced recordings for John Gorka, BeauSoleil, John McCutcheon, Janis Ian, and Bill Morrisey, as well as featured guest vocals and instrumentals on recordings with Kathy Mattea, Iris Dement, George Jones, and the Indigo Girls. His most recent release is his 2007 self-produced album, More Noise From Nowhere, but a follow-up is scheduled for early 2010. Jennings has received Washington Area Music Awards for Producer of the Year, Best Folk/Bluegrass Instrumentalist, Best Folk/Bluegrass Male Vocalist, Best Contemporary Folk/Irish Instrumentalist, Best Contemporary Folk/Irish Male Vocalist, and Video of the Year for "Everybody Loves Me."
