Opportunity knocks for savvy college students ages 17 to 30 who take advantage of one of the best bargains in the city, known as Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra's (LACO) "Campus to Concert Hall All Access Pass," which provides admission to thirty LACO concerts during its 2017-18 season for just $30.

For the equivalent of just $1 per ticket, fortunate pass-holders attend performances at some of Southern California's leading venues, including all eight of LACO's Orchestral Series concerts at Glendale's Alex Theatre, Caltech's Beckman Auditorium and UCLA's Royce Hall; three In Focus programs, offering insights into chamber music repertoire, at Santa Monica's Moss Theater and San Marino's Huntington Gardens; five Baroque Conversations programs, with repertoire from early Baroque through the pre-classical period, at downtown LA's Zipper Hall; and three Sound Investment salons where attendees meet and mingle with the year's composer and learn about their artistic process.

As an added bonus, the All Access Pass includes access to performance after-parties to mingle with musicians; advance reservation privileges; and the option to reserve up to three additional tickets at just $8 each for college friends (valid college ID required). This popular student pass, offered for the seventh year, has served to build appreciation for classical music among younger audiences.

"Our 'Campus to Concert Hall All Access Pass' makes it affordable for students to attend multiple performances for substantially less than the cost of a movie, or even a latte," says LACO Senior Director of Advancement & Strategic Engagement Lacey Huszcza. "Although LACO offers student tickets at $8, the 'All Access Pass' makes tickets even more affordable and easy to reserve in advance."

LACO's long history of educational outreach encompasses programs integral to its mission of nurturing future musicians and composers as well as inspiring a love of classical music, and it places particular focus on bringing students inside the concert hall to experience the Orchestra's live performances in world-class venues.

Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO), founded in 1968 and celebrating its 50th anniversary during the 2017-18 season, was proclaimed "America's finest chamber orchestra" by Public Radio International and has established itself among the world's top musical ensembles. The Orchestra maintains its status as a preeminent interpreter of historical masterworks and a champion of contemporary composers. During its 50-year history, LACO has made 31 recordings, toured Europe, South America and Japan, performed across North America, earning adulation from audiences and critics alike, and garnered eight ASCAP Awards for Adventurous Programming.

"Campus to Concert Hall All Access Passes" are available online at laco.org, or by calling LACO at 213 622 7001.
