Bringing fresh hope to every bookshelf, author Yvonne Nunes invites readers to look into another angle of the remarkable story behind the most important medical event in the twentieth century. One Little Miracle, her new book released through Xlibris, tells the inspiring true tale of the seven-year-old girl whose life was saved when she became a test case for penicillin.

The year is 1943. War is raging in the Pacific. More military personnel are dying from gas gangrene than from bullets. On one side of the world, Yvonne, a young girl, is also suffering from gas gangrene. Her doctor has done all he can do to save her life, including amputation, but nothing seems to help anymore. What Yvonne needs is a miracle. The miracle suddenly becomes possible as the JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) appeals to doctors for cases to test penicillin. Of all the possible patients, Yvonne is chosen to be the test case. But the mission is not as easy as it sounds.

While people all over the United States are trying to get penicillin to save her life, Yvonne is deep in a coma. But many do not know that in her deep slumber, she is enjoying a magical adventure with Genie. He is her guide to a world where everything is possible and no is not a word. Their journey through hope, faith, and appreciation unfolds in One Little Miracle. Providing an in-depth background of Alexander Fleming's most famous discovery, this book is a heartrending yet highly motivating true story about life and second chances.
