Emperor Xavier Erentol of Acacia went home from the war to find his empire near to shambles. His people are starting to flee, losing their faith in him as a leader. Even the guards left their posts, the peopled refuse to work and rebuild the empire. They have little money left, and many are resorting to rebellion and crimes in order to survive. It is up to Xavier to save Acacia. For years, he tried to restore his empire to former glory. But he is a weak emperor. He cannot put an end to the growing rebellion that build their forces and determined enough to overthrow him from his throne.

When his wife gave birth to his firstborn, his heir, he has renewed hope. His son, Jarok, is a born leader. He will be the next emperor. But it seems that fate has another plan for them. Xavier and his wife Cassandra have another son, Cailyn. Jarok and Cailyn are close to each other, until something tore them apart. Suddenly, their world is torn upside down. Jarok is banished from the empire by his own father. And Cailyn is left with a heavy responsibility-he is named the next emperor of Acacia. His brother Jarok has turned into the dark side, killing their father and getting rid of Cailyn. The empire is in danger of being ruled by a tyrant. Will Cailyn be able to hold back his brother and end his evil schemes?

About the Author

Vincent Alexander K. Buchan was born on April 9, 1991 in Wanganui, New Zealand. He is of Scottish, English and German decent. He has a huge taste for history which influenced his book. He started writing when he was ten. Needless to say, it wasn't very good when he started. He left school when he was fifteen, but still wished to follow his dreams to become a writer and actor.
