LoveScience Media has announced that Duana C. Welch, Ph.D., author of Love Factually: 10 Proven Steps from I Wish to I Do, has accepted a contract with two publishing houses for world-wide publication of the book in Spanish and Japanese, brokered through her agent. Love Factually is the first book that uses science rather than opinion to take men and women through every stage of dating, from before they meet until they decide whether to commit. Planeta, one of the largest Spanish-language publishers, has contracted with LoveScience Media and Welch to publish the work globally in Spanish in e-book, paperback, and a smaller paperback known as pocket book. Shasta International Corp., located in Tokyo, has contracted to produce the book for Japanese language markets, in e-book and hardcover formats; they have also contracted to have Welch author a special foreword for their edition.

Says Welch, "When writing Love Factually, I relied on science that shows what successful intimate relationships are like not only in the USA, but universally. Love is a human need, not merely a desire. We know from studies that finding and keeping one solid love partnership does more for our happiness, health, sex lives, and wealth than nearly any other choice we make. It's affirming and exhilarating to see multinational publishers reaching the conclusion that their readers will benefit from actionable, fact-based advice about finding the right love partner."

The deals were put together by foreign rights agent Sylvia Hayse of the Sylvia Hayse Literary Agency, LLC, who represents Welch and Love Factually to all non-English-language publishers. She is representing numerous publishing houses, and authors in the self-improvement space, including John Gray. Hayse will soon present the book to publishers at the Frankfurt Book Fair the world's largest book fair and the most important one for international licensing, which takes place from October 18-24 in Germany.

Continues Welch, "Making love more realistically available for everyone, through more accurate and step-by-step usable information, is a major goal of mine and a big part of the reason I wrote Love Factually. I am excited to work with Shasta International and Planeta, and thankful to my agent Sylvia Hayse. It's been rewarding to hear the many love stories from English-speaking readers of the book, and I can't wait to see what audiences who read other languages say about it."
