Tory Gates' LIVE FROM THE CAFE Available Now on Brown Posey Press
By: Caryn Robbins

The picturesque small town of Harlandsville, Quebec doesn't seem to offer too much. A one-stoplight village, the heartbeat of the town seems to revolve around a strange little coffee shop. One step through the door of Le Café, and you enter a new world. Regulars and strangers alike are welcome to this place, where coffee is served one pot at a time through a monstrous invention, the pastries are homemade, and the music is largely a cross-section of Canada's history.
Presided over by Luc, son of one of the town's most loved residents, and his tattooed partner Emily, the café provides a home within a home. Life, love, prejudice and change are considered by its owners, their employees, the people of the town and the multitude of mysterious (and famous?) strangers who show up for good coffee and to play music.
Live from the Cafe is Tory's third book, available on Brown Posey Press, a division of Sunbury Press Books. His 2016 Sunbury release, A Moment in the Sun won First Place in the Young Adult division of the 2017 Red City Review Awards, and was a finalist for the Dante Rossetti Award for Young Adult Fiction by Chanticleer Reviews. His self-published debut, Parasite Girls is available through Amazon.com and Smashwords.
