The picturesque small town of Harlandsville, Quebec doesn't seem to offer too much. A one-stoplight village, the heartbeat of the town seems to revolve around a strange little coffee shop. One step through the door of Le Café, and you enter a new world. Regulars and strangers alike are welcome to this place, where coffee is served one pot at a time through a monstrous invention, the pastries are homemade, and the music is largely a cross-section of Canada's history.

Presided over by Luc, son of one of the town's most loved residents, and his tattooed partner Emily, the café provides a home within a home. Life, love, prejudice and change are considered by its owners, their employees, the people of the town and the multitude of mysterious (and famous?) strangers who show up for good coffee and to play music.

Go back home, back in time, meet old friends and make new ones...you'll never what'll happen, or who will show up next, Live from the Café.

A broadcaster for more than thirty years, Tory Gates has seen and done just about everything in the radio business. He's been a deejay, talk show host, traffic reporter, producer and a journalist. Currently, Tory is the Morning Desk Anchor for the Radio Pennsylvania Network, located in Harrisburg.

Live from the Cafe is Tory's third book, available on Brown Posey Press, a division of Sunbury Press Books. His 2016 Sunbury release, A Moment in the Sun won First Place in the Young Adult division of the 2017 Red City Review Awards, and was a finalist for the Dante Rossetti Award for Young Adult Fiction by Chanticleer Reviews. His self-published debut, Parasite Girls is available through Amazon.com and Smashwords.

Tory's works are of young adult/crossover fiction with exotic settings, yet deal with real-life issues and social problems. His projected 2018 release will be the first of a Young Adult/Time Travel/Music series, Sweet Dreams: Searching for Roy Buchanan.

A native of Vermont, Tory lives in Harrisburg with his four cats. You can find him on Facebook, Twitter (@ToryGates), as a feature writer for BroadwayWorld.com and also online as DJ`Riff, hosting "The Music Club" on the London-based Radio-Airwaves Station. You'll also be sure to find him in the nearest place that serves good coffee!
