DHAHRAN, Saudi Arabia - Author Jesus G. Pedines Jr. advocates increasing workplace safety with his new book, which draws from his considerable experience in the construction industry, distilling important lessons applicable to the lives of readers regardless of nationality, faith and other backgrounds. He urges them to "Think and Become Safety Practitioner" (published by Xlibris AU) to improve their abilities, help those around him and change their environment for the better.

Pedines' pocket-sized book contains numerous important lessons that the author has gained from his experiences, from studying to be an electrical engineer, to actual field experience in the Philippines and then, eventually, Saudi Arabia, for Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil company. The information in the guide book has been tried and tested in various diverse environments and situations ranging from the author's tropical homeland to rigorous construction projects in the sands of Arabia. Now, in an altruistic act, Pedines shares his wellspring of knowledge to readers everywhere in the hopes of helping them in their endeavors whatever they may be, so long as hazards may be prevented and minimized, and losses of life and limb avoided at all costs.

"Think and Become Safety Practitioner" abides by the adage that prevention is better than cure. Readers seeking useful nuggets of knowledge from a professional safety advisor can find what they seek in its pages.
