T. L. Adams Encourages Readers to 'Get Rid of Your Stupid List!'
Adams' mission is to help women self-reflect and look at the real reasons that have kept them single. In "Get Rid of Your Stupid List!," she presents a series of principles she has adopted in order to change her way of thinking and behavior in order to achieve different results. Adams breaks down the various factors that have kept her and other women single, and she shares dating tips that helped her make better choices and life lessons she learned on her dating journey.
"The book was written to encourage, motivate, and help you reflect your decisions when it comes to dating," says Adams. "Based on one woman's personal experiences, this guide seeks to help you change the way you see relationships, men, and yourself."
An excerpt from the book:
The beginning of trying to mend my broken marriage should have started a long time ago. I decided to book a seven day cruise vacation that fell on our sixth wedding anniversary. The purpose of the vacation was to rekindle the fire that went out in our marriage. I made the mistake of asking my husband at the time whether he was happy on our anniversary. The response I got was not what I expected or one that I wanted to hear. His response- "I haven't been happy the past five years and I only stayed married to you this long because we have kids together"-crushed my soul, heart and spirit, all at the same time. All I could do was cry and wonder, "What just happened? Did he just tell me that? Now what do I do? What do I do with this information?"
