Sullivan Street Press Announces SCAGS AT 18

Throughout June, many high school seniors will graduate with the opportunity to attend college this coming fall. To celebrate this new chapter in their lives, Sullivan Street Press is offering a graduation special for the e-book version of Scags at 18. Regularly priced at $12.95, the e-book will be discounted to $5.95, the same price as the first book in the series, Scags at 7.

Scags at 18, follows Scags as she enters college at a pivotal time in history, the fall of 1969. Written in the form of a diary, readers follow Scags as she leaves home in Skokie, Illinois to attend college in Vermont on a full scholarship. Readers are taken through pivotal historical moments as Scags experiences the US release of the Beatles' album "Abbey Road", the anti-war march in D.C. against the Vietnam War and the first draft lottery based on the birthdays of all draft-eligible men.

Part of a 4-volume series about the awakenings of a woman to life, each volume of the Scags Series is told in a different first-person format. The four volumes represent different elements that make up a woman's complete character.

The author of the series, Deborah Emin, is a writer, blogger and political junkie. Throughout her career she has done numerous things in pursuit of telling storiesshe has hosted a reading series for her Queens neighborhood, been a campaign blogger for Dennis Kucinich's 2008 presidential campaign and taught writing to over 1000 students.
