Savannah Hartford knows what it's like to be alone. Never having had much success with love and life, she'd given up on anything good ever happening. So, when she receives a letter explaining that she has inherited an old mansion, she is stunned and suspicious. Savannah uses her design skills to turn the old mansion into a luxurious bed and breakfast. As she transforms the house, she learns that it is not just the house that is being restored.

"I've read a lot of books where there was a good strong storyline, but then they would have sideline stories of foolishness," author Sheryl Brown-Norman says. "I thought that it was possible to have uplifting romance stories that also gently introduced biblical concepts, without sounding preachy." In "Restored" (published by iUniverse), she presents just that.

The old mansion's transformation is paralleled by Savannah's own metamorphosis. Savannah meets Jacob, a widower who tragically lost his wife in a car accident. As the two get acquainted, Jacob introduces her to a world of faith that changes her completely. She discovers that God is in control of everything, even during times of strife, and decides to put her trust in Him. Through Savannah's reconstruction, readers will find hope anew.
