Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. is pleased to announce the firm was highlighted in Chicago Lawyer Magazine’s 2018 Settlement Survey as one of the top two law firms in the state of Illinois.

Each year, Chicago Lawyer and Jury Verdict Reporter — a sister publication within Law Bulletin Media — examine the top reported settlements. This year’s report is based on $1.5 billion in settlements of Illinois cases submitted to Jury Verdict Reporter between July 1, 2017, and June 30, 2018.

This year, Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. ranked in the top two, settling 11 cases for a total of $126,800,000. The firm’s top case was a $115 million settlement on behalf of a dancer paralyzed at O’Hare International Airport. The settlement represents the largest personal injury settlement for an individual plaintiff in Illinois history and was reached after the city of Chicago’s attorneys challenged a record $148 million Cook County jury verdict that was awarded in August 2017 (Case No.: 15 L 8311)

The largest reported personal-injury settlement for an individual in Illinois’ history, Tierney Darden v.
