About the Author

Jody Mackey was born and raised in the Chicago suburb of Glen Ellyn, lives with her husband in Tucson, Arizona. She is a fine arts graduate and proud supporter of the University of Arizona. She lives an active lifestyle competing in running and cycling events. She has completed over fifty triathlons, including eight Ironman events. She has three beautiful horses and rides several days a week. When she is not writing or drawing, Mackey is outside training, riding the horses or playing golf. Sports have enriched her life, and so it seems only natural to share her experiences and inspire young children to be active through her books.
