"Scarlet Justice" by David M. Mannes is a western novel about Northwest Mounted Police constable Alfred Kingsley and his partner, NWMP scout and former gunslinger, Charlie Buck. They patrol along the American-Canadian border in the mid 1880's. In the first book of a new series they combat murderous whiskey smugglers, a ranch baron and sabotage to new Canadian Pacific railroad. The book is being released Nov. 30th from Solstice Publishing and will be available in eBook and trade paperback. The book will be initially available through Solstice Publishing, Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

David M. Mannes is a former educational film producer/director and scriptwriter. He was nominated in 1990 for best non-dramatic script in the Alberta Motion Picture Industry Association (A.M.P.I.A.) awards for "Writing-on-Stone" featuring actor Leslie Neilson which he co-produced for Alberta Parks. It was his research for the film that influenced David to write Scarlet Justice. David is the author of several books including: The Reptilian Encounter(Solstice Publishing) a present day action-adventure sci-fi thirller, Nahanni (Saga Books)an 1930's adventure novel, and Creature Feature (Clublighthouse Publishing,) a horror/sci-fi adventure. He has had a long time interest in UFOs, paranormal and unexplained phenomena. Mr. Mannes is married and lives in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. He is a member of the Writer's Guild of Alberta.
