Life has always been full of obstacles that test everyone's resolve to the limit. If a person's resolve were lacking, it may become so overwhelming that one may never be able to recover, and fear and anxiety will rule one's life. In "Pockets of Life" author Juliette Pipe has written an honest account of her life through the combination of poems and writings.

This book is neither an autobiography nor is it a normal poetry book. It is composed of heartfelt poems, writings and musings that follow a time in the author's life when her world came crashing down around her. The deep thought-provoking musings mixed with an honest and positive vulnerability guide the reader through the cryptic rubble that was once her world, into the inspiring revelations and relationships of her now. She shares her story, not in a standard autobiography, but with the words she wrote as she was in each emotion, each situation, just as it happened. She hopes her readers would find courage in the dark and their light in hope. One of her favorite poems, titled "Life," conveys the essence of this book. It reads:
