As a counselor and someone who has been involved in the church ministry since 1972, Paul W. Saunders observed how promiscuity wrecked the lives of those who were entangled in it. Although it is becoming acceptable in cultures around the world to have multiple sex partners, this does not make promiscuity any less risky. According to Deirdre Lee Fitzgerald, PhD, assistant professor of psychology at Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic, promiscuity is "high risk behavior comparable to heavy drinking, gambling and other thrill-seeking ventures." Aside from the physical and emotional consequences of promiscuous behavior, there are spiritual and moral costs involved. Saunders examines these effects in his book, "The Price of Promiscuity," and shares insights on how to break free from a devastating cycle of sin.

"The Price of Promiscuity" is a lifestyle self-help book that will help readers become well-informed and learn how to have a healthy relationship. It is written mainly to teach men that women are not objects for male entertainment but to engage in a meaningful relationship.

"It seems so incredible in this modern era with so much information available on the subject of marriage, that people are so ignorant of it. If you search any secular or Christian bookshop, you will find many self-help books on the subject. Use these books, the lessons and examples set by your parents and other married couples to help with your relationship and marriage," Saunders says.

This topical book also examines the effects of promiscuity on empires and how it contributes to their decline. It makes a comparison between modern Western civilization and the morals of our time with those of previously collapsed civilizations. It also shows how our moral behavior "spills back" into society. Finally, it offers practical advice on how to live a moral life. Topical and incisive, "The Price of Promiscuity" tackles some of today's most sensitive topics in a Biblical light.
