Many people go to church every week and sit on a pew, but deep-down they wonder if everything they've learned about God, saving grace and religion is really true. Written to encourage the pew-sitters in today's increasingly faithless society, "An Ordinary Life, an Extraordinary God: Is Anybody Really Listening?" (published by WestBow Press) by Paul C. Hale is the true testimony of how one couple learned to literally "let go and let God."

"This is our testimony of why we turned our lives over to Jesus and then what happened to us as we trusted him in both the good times and the bad," Hale writes for himself and his wife. "God is real, and this book is a modern day witness to his power and grace."

Within the pages of "An Ordinary Life, an Extraordinary God," Hale explains how he eventually understood that all he needed to do was step aside in order for God to be free to act and finally impact his life. Hale relates his experiences in circumstances such as losing a job or health insurance, having a baby or suffering the death of parents and how he learned - as Peter did - to get out of the boat and trust God in both good and bad times.

An excerpt from "An Ordinary Life, an Extraordinary God":

"The fact of the matter was that without Cherie's income from the T-shirt company, we could not pay our bills. Yet as we continued to pray, we knew that her quitting was what we needed to do. We needed to trust God, and we couldn't walk on water if we wouldn't even get out of the boat. Cherie deferred to me, and nervously, on May 5, she gave her two week notice."

"An Ordinary Life, an Extraordinary God" will encourage readers that God is real and simply looking for the opening to act that only comes when they get out of his way and let him in.
