Friendship that would go the extra mile in proving itself is the moving force behind "Time Will Tell" authored by Patricia M. Smith. It runs the amazing journey of identifying oneself, building self-image and showing the world what an individual could become when backed by a tight-knitted companionship.

This telling story starts off with five students meeting on their first day at college. There is Fliss, a brilliant dyslexic; Bridie, an Irish girl far from her family; Jules, a handsome homosexual; Gustave, a German financial wizard; and Claudia, a wealthy beauty. Together they identify themselves with one another, despite hailing from different countries, races and upbringing. They get to know one another thoroughly and share the past they so seldom spoke of while realizing that they all need a new family who really cares about them. They stick together throughout the years and through all trials and tribulations that life throws at them.

Based on the college life Smith had, these tales of friendship strive to inculcate in readers that lasting camaraderie will surface in the good times and uplift a person in the bad ones. Ultimately, it leaves a message that unceasing and permanent friendship will defy the test of time.
