PIRATES & PRINCESSES Authors Come To Michigan Shops 9/17

900 North Michigan Shops invite guests to a storytime and book signing for "Pirates & Princesses" to be released in September, with New York Times best-selling Author Jill Kargman and eight-year-old daughter/Co-Author Sadie Kargman, from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, September 17 on Level 5.

Dress up your pretty princess or brave pirate and join Jill and Sadie as they share a story inspired by a kindergarten playground incident. "Pirates & Princesses" is a lighthearted children's novel that explores gender roles at grade school recess. Best friends Ivy and Fletch get separated into the Princess Team and Pirate Team but soon miss spending time with one another.

Refreshments will be served; princess and pirate costumes are encouraged but not required. Books will be available for purchase, with 10% of the proceeds being personally donated by Jill and Sadie to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Rush University Medical Center.
