To author Lester M. Zinser, the time he spent in the cockpit is a treasure worthy of sharing. He, thus, publishes "PILOT LOGBOOK LIES AND MORE," his interesting autobiography quickly covers life on a farm in rural Illinois during the depression then marches through WWII, growing a top rate flight school, working with the first chimps in space, to the early years of flying expressly to measure conditions in severe weather.

The author is well-known in aviation, severe weather flying, and meteorology. He tells a story that is personal, funny and often hair-raising taking the reader along as he flies purposefully into: thunderstorms, severe downslope winds, erupting volcanoes, pre-hurricanes and monsoons to help the meteorological community discover what makes the skies tick.

Zinser has written a story for severe weather enthusiasts, military and civilian pilots-and the general public. This book shares the highs and lows of flying the unfriendly skies including unexpected encounters with golf ball sized hail, icing, and severe turbulence.
