Caribbean writer Israfil Sahibdeen returns to the world of literature with a second book of poems. Poems - Book II, the sequel to his first book, Poems, is a testament to poetry's power to transform the mind and the colorful diversity of human experience.

Sahibdeen's latest collection is breathtaking in its range of subjects yet with his unique poetic voice he makes each piece relevant, immediate and emotionally accessible. Some his works are reflections on subjects of personal importance, for instance spirituality as seen in the poems, "Jesus Call Us Again," and "We Are One". His other poems provide an insightful commentary on issues present in today's society some of which include abortion, women's rights and peace. The diversity of the subjects he explores makes his work appealing to a wide audience,

"The poems found in this book makes good reading, and can be an inspiration not only for poets but for those in the area of literature," he says.

Edifying, transformative and truly one of a kind, Poems - Book II is proof of Sahibdeen's mastery in translating human experience, emotions and thoughts in a way that is deeply affecting, enjoyable and ultimately unforgettable.
