"Duster" is a story about living and working in the oil field boomtowns during the late '70s and mid-'80s. It brings to life the construction crews, roughnecks, roustabouts, production operators, pumpers, FBI and law enforcement agencies who often investigated this industry and takes a dive into the dark side of that day and age, which includes racketeering, oil theft, gambling, guns, girls and the Wild West lifestyle.

Having lived and worked in the oil field production and construction industry for over 30 years, Howell brings a humorous, sometimes dark, and unique insight into the people and life in that area and industry. Interspersed with humor in the dialogues and scenes, the book touches on the romantic relationships of the rough and tumble men and women who worked in the industry.

With comical plot twists, mysteries, fun and ample bangs, "Duster" sets the stage for an entertaining story set in the good old oil and gas roughneck days. This coming-of-age tale of the Oklahoma boys hopes to keep readers amused and entertained, long after they have finished.
