Visual art depicts everything that the eyes can see without embellishment. Its reality is represented faithfully, truthfully, and accurately. Visual art is considered to be objectively real and this book is what it is all about.

History and Culture of Haiti by Nicole Jean-Louis illustrates Haiti's rich history and culture through visual art. She believes that history is so powerful and it should always be protected. And for her native country, Haiti, which is full of resilience; documenting its history and culture through art, and sharing them to readers, is Nicole Jean-Louis's lifelong passion.

This book also produces cultural and traditional scenes, idyllic seascapes, and landscape paintings which encourages one to become a lover of nature. Through her paintings, Nicole Jean-Louis also wanted to deliver a warm feeling as she introduces some sentimental scenes. She creates portraits, illustrations, documentary, and tribute paintings. As a teenage girl, she travelled with her parents to Africa, in the countries of Congo, Kinshasa which allowed her to pay tribute to the "Congolese Woman". For her, Africa is the Carrefour of all cultures and is very proud to mention Africa in her creative works.

The bulk of these artworks focuses on rural and urban scenes with informative essays to accompany each of her artwork. It also includes comments from other artists at Fine Art America which are very interesting to read.
History and Culture of Haiti is sure to attract a wide audience particularly those who truly appreciates history through visual arts. Nicole Jean-Louis firmly believes that it is very important to instruct today's generation with visual arts so they can make educated judgment by learning great things from the past.

This book will be featured at the 2013 National Education Book Exhibit in Atlanta, Ga. on July 1-3, 2013.
