National Radio Host Premieres Holiday Children's Book for Charity Rich Berra, nationally syndicated radio host of iHeart Media’s Johnjay and Rich Show, is back this holiday season with The Tale of Christmas Steve, a hilarious and heartwarming holiday children’s book. The whimsical story about a Christmas elf is a timely reminder that everyone has something unique to offer — no matter the outside package.

Sales of the book and related products benefit the Johnjay and Rich Christmas Wish program, a division of #LoveUp — a charity Berra co-founded — which provides food, clothing, comfort and holiday presents to those in need. The book debuted in 2017, selling out its first print run in the first week, and raising more than $25,000 for charity. Berra hopes to double that this year.

“Last year Christmas Steve was able to change lives through Christmas Wish,” said Berra. “This year we have a very aggressive goal because we want to help more kids and families that need a hand up.”

Berra’s book is sold online at http://www.ChristmasSteve.org, on Amazon and at a number of brick-and-mortar stores. One such location, Woods and Whites at the Biltmore Fashion Park in Phoenix, is hosting a story time on the lawn each Saturday in December at 1:00 PM. Hot cocoa and a story reading by different local celebrities will be on the agenda each week, with Berra present for the first gathering December 1.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Berra has been in radio since he was 14 years old. He co-founded the #LoveUp Foundation, which focuses on enriching the lives of children in the foster care system and supporting children and families in need.

Suitable for kids of all ages, the 32-page hardcover book retails for $20. The Tale of Christmas Steve is Berra’s first book, and a sequel is planned for next year.
