Heroes come in all shapes, sizes, ages and can be either male or female. They are everyday people in the communities and society. In author Mose M. Kinsey's latest book offering, he defines what it truly means to be a "hero," as detailed in his personal inspiring life story.

"A Hero's Journey" (published by Xlibris) chronicles the experiences of Kinsey growing up in the segregated South with all odds against him, and celebrates his achievements along with the remarkable characters in his life. This memoir tells the formula to reaching success and becoming a hero: handwork, doing the right thing and never asking for anything in return.

"The book is an inspiration for any person who's being told or indirectly being encouraged to think that they will never amount to anything in life," the author shares. "There are millions of children living in poverty today as I was years ago. Kids need to be taught or inspired to work hard and do the right thing in life."

A candid and essential advice from "A Hero's Journey" reads:
There are two words that every parent must master and operate under when raising children. Those two words are standards and consequences. Parents must set standards for their children to live by. When those standards are broken, there must be consequences that are applied for the broken rule. If no consequences are applied, then the broken rule becomes the new standard.
