Julie Brown and Angel Logan debut in the publishing scene with the release of "Building a Life" (published by Balboa Press), a memoir charting a mother's healing journey of self-discovery through life's challenges.

As a young wife and mother, Brown encountered many challenges. Though she was determined to have a good life with her husband and children, she became overwhelmed at times by their "life experiences" and lost trust in her ability to cope.

"I spent years working through deep feelings of resentment and anger to come to a place of acceptance and forgiveness for myself and my life choices in an effort to live with no regrets," Brown shares.

"Building a Life" hopes to inspire others, particularly women and parents, to let go of the past, embrace the future and also experience the present moments. "Life is full of changes."

A snippet from the book reads:
Building a Life: A Mother's Healing Journey of Self-Discovery is a poignant depiction of how I became a mother before I had the opportunity to discover my own identity. It shows, too, the array of roles I assumed throughout my journey-roles that were thrust upon me by life's unpredictable circumstances.
