The wings of Marcy Lange's RV cut swiftly through the clouds like a hot knife through butter as she soared through the sky. With the world thousands of feet below, this mother of three was experiencing the only high she knew: flying. With her 50th birthday barely in the rearview, anything was possible. Lange tells her unlikely story as an aviation enthusiast in "RV Flygirl: A Late Blooming Flygirl" (published by iUniverse).

In "RV Flygirl," Lange chronicles her journey from an everyday wife and mother of three to a recreational pilot in what she calls a "light and easy read." She tells stories of her own flights as well as those of fellow aviation enthusiasts, oftentimes bridging the gap between suspense and comedy.

Through her story, Lange is hoping to not only bring the joy of flight to homes everywhere, but with it a message of hope. "If this average adult female can learn to fly an airplane at the age of 50, you can learn to fly one too." Whether readers are aspiring pilots or hopeful painters, "RV Flygirl" has something for everyone.
