When up and coming author Ekaterini had her first son, Leoniros, she was not married to his father. She knew that soon Leoniros would begin to ask about the unconventional setup of their family. Her new book, My son...his father...and I..., was written as an attempt to give her son the answers he will eventually seek and to remember her own struggles and triumphs as a woman and mother.

In My son...his father...and I..., Ekaterini reveals both dark and light episodes that gave color to her life. From her travels to Greece, to the friendships she built, to her private sorrows and joys, she bravely charts her journey through successive phases and in doing so she gives her book emotional depth.

Unfolding across continents, Ekaterini's account brings to life the people that made her life more meaningful. With wit and candor, the author recalls moments of happiness- like the time she found out she was going to be a mother- and gives voice to the darkness that came with every instance of heartbreak and loss.

Honest, deeply affecting and enlightening, My son...his father...and I... is all at once a story of a woman's odyssey to find herself and a modern exploration of the bonds of family, the confines of tradition and the dynamics of relationships.
