Lydia Scholten Ott, author of "Women of a Certain Age" and "From Polders To Skyscrapers," returns to the world of literature with "Gentlemen Of A Certain Age" (published by Xlibris). This new book examines some of life's biggest questions in light of the experiences of seven friends.

The story introduces Benjamin Pollack, an anthropologist, Conrad Ballister, an investment banker, Martin Fraser, a Herald Tribune correspondent, Sam Whittier, a judge in the San Francisco court system, Alan Carstairs, a lawyer and prosecutor, Peter Evans, a renowned portrait painter, and Roberto Giovanni, a famous chef and well-known owner of a five-star restaurant outside of San Francisco. These seven people from seemingly different backgrounds agreed to live in a retirement community once they retired. What happens next will reveal insights on life, friendship and success and give indelible character studies on each protagonist.

Peopled with richly drawn characters, "Gentlemen Of A Certain Age" is an insightful glimpse into life in a retirement community.
