"Little Star," was originally written by Anthony DeStefano as a homework assignment for "Angela's Ashes" author Frank McCourt when DeStefano was a student at Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan. Thirty years later, the book has finally been published in a special edition by Harvest House Publishers, and has already become a holiday "classic."

In a retelling of the Nativity story, "Little Star" focuses on the star of Bethlehem-the smallest star in the heavens-who burns himself out to keep the newborn baby Jesus warm in his cold stable. It conveys the true meaning of Christmas, while at the same time emphasizes an extremely important message for all children, namely, that even if you are small or insecure or afraid, when you shine your brightest you have the power to achieve great things in life.

Anthony DeStefano is the bestselling author of the adult Christian books "A Travel Guide to Heaven," "Ten Prayers God Always Says Yes To," "Angels All Around Us," as well as the gift book "I Just Can't Take It Anymore!" and the children's books "This Little Prayer of Mine" and "The Donkey That No One Could Ride." He has received prestigious awards from religious organizations worldwide for his efforts to advance Christian beliefs in modern culture.

Mr. DeStefano is available for interview throughout the month of December.
