Little Creatures Turn to Dangerous Magic to Help Their Injured Heroes M.J. Anderson's family grows fruits, vegetables and flowers in their allotments and garden. They usually involved their children in it and encourage their grandchildren as well. When they grew an oddly shaped, big pumpkin, it looked like a two-story house for small creatures and the story of "The Pumpkin-Easies and Magic Memories: An Allotment Garden Story (Book 3)" (published by AuthorHouse UK) began.

The book tells the story of ancient creatures-the Easies-who try to live away from people. They are talented and determined and they have evolved special powers. Nowadays they are very fast, small and chameleon-like as they can change shape and color. They can also communicate telepathically. However, when they lost their land and habitat, they are forced to live much closer to people.

One tribe's home has recently been destroyed and they desperately needed to find shelter and food to tide them over the coming winter. They overcame many difficulties by capturing the Great Pumpkin. This had cost them dearly and to help their injured heroes, they must turn to magic memories - a dangerous form of magic.

"There are many small and beautiful creatures around us that bring joy to our world. Even the small and ugly ones have a role to play in a balanced ecology," Anderson points out. "Without them, our world will be poorer and some of our food crops may fail. This is about their determination to live life on their own terms."

About the Author
M.J. Anderson moved from London to Middlesex when she was 7 years old. A short walk took her into open fields and wild land, which surrounded a shooting range. With her sister and friends, she roamed the fields and collected newts, bluebells and rusty old bullets to take home - to her family's distress. Leaving school at 15 years of age, Anderson then returned several times until she graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology. Married for over 40 years, her husband is an enthusiastic fruit and vegetable grower. They have had allotments for almost as long as they have been married. She has loved reading throughout her life. She is beginning to love writing books as much as reading them and is now writing a series of books, based on life on the allotments.
