Inspired by her mother's collection of notes, author Lisa Morley started collecting her own panoply of experiences as a child, mother and caregiver of young children. She shares these experiences in her new book of poetry, "A Mother's Voice" (published by Trafford Publishing).

"Everyone will face adversity and challenges along the road of life," Morley says. "This book can be a voice of peace and light as the child within each of us faces the raging storms of this world."

Morley shares her reflections on motherhood and the joys she experienced raising children through a wide array of topical poems for mothers. She hopes to bring people together through the finding of common ground, as she says all people were children at one point.

"I felt impressed to compile my previous writings and share them in a book with anyone who loves or finds joy in caring for a child," Morley says. "This book speaks about the relationships we have in common and allows us to find humor and joy, even through the tough times of life."

Morley hopes readers will recognize, through her book, the big difference the small things in life make and how precious and worthy of love each individual person is.
